Permanent residence

Q. When can I submit my application for the Cyprus Permanent Residence?

A. You can apply for the Cyprus Permanent Residence soon after a valid contract of sale has been signed for purchasing a property in Cyprus. This indicates a legal property purchase and gives you the right to apply for the Permanent Residence. Usually a 30% deposit is an adequate amount for signing property contracts.

Q. What are the documents needed to support my application for the Cyprus Permanent Residence?

A. The authorities in Cyprus in order to process your application they will need some documents, majorly to confirm your ability to support yourself and family while staying in Cyprus. The documents needed for category F are the following:

1. Copy of Applicants valid Passport
2. CV About the applicant
3. Bank Account Statements (original)
4. Income Declaration from Sources other than employment (Original documents and affidavit.)
5. Title of property or Contract of Sale
6. Health insurance policy (can be obtained while in Cyprus)
7. Criminal Record Certificate (if the applicant resides abroad, official translation duly validated from his country)
8. Marriage Certificate (if married, official translation duly validated)
9. Child Birth Certificate (if under the age of 18, official translation duly validated)
Q. Are there any other requirements for the Cyprus Permanent Residence I need to know of?

A. You will need to buy a property at the value of € 300,000 and over and since you will have to prove that you can support yourself and family while being here, an amount of money should be deposited in your Cyprus bank account. You should also prove an annual income of around € 10,000.

Q. Can my children be registered for the Permanent Residence?

A. Yes, once a couple is granted the Cyprus Permanent Residence their child (if under the age of 18) will also receive the Permanent Residence as long as you are able to prove an extra annual income of € 5,000. If the child is above 18 years of age then he/she can also apply by unification as long as he/she can also indicate an annual income of around € 10,000.
